Assistant Operations Supervisor – Maintenance and Production

Coop Carbone is a committed cooperative whose mission is to take action in the face of the climate emergency by supporting the implementation of collaborative projects. Coop Carbone provides general management and operations for the Coop Agri-Énergie Warwick, the first agricultural cooperative dedicated to the production of renewable energy. Coop Carbone is working to develop an agricultural biomethanization sector, launched with the Warwick project. Two new projects are under development in the Centre-du-Québec region.

Work location: Warwick and Centre-du-Québec
Status: Full time, flexible schedule

Your main responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the operations manager, you will be a key player in the operation of the Warwick biomethanization complex. Your missions will include in particular:

  • Assist in the planning, preparation and performance of equipment maintenance (pumps, motors, compressors).
  • Participate in maintenance operations during emergencies and planned shutdowns.
  • Monitor biomethanization parameters and ensure computer-assisted maintenance management (CMMS).
  • Collaborate in supplier and inventory management.
  • Provide support in the analysis and resolution of technical problems, via field inspections and data analysis.
  • Participate in improving health and safety and environmental protection practices.
  • Contribute to the completion of special projects aimed at modernizing and improving facilities.

  • Autonomous, proactive and with excellent organizational skills.
  • Able to work in a team with good social skills.
  • Motivated by the mission of Coop Carbone and sensitive to environmental issues.
  • Experience in emergency management and in an industrial environment.

Your qualifications:

  • Diploma or training in biomethanization, water treatment, mechanics, or relevant experience.
  • Mastery of equipment such as pumps, motors and compressors.
  • Experience working in a factory.
  • Ability to manage both tasks manual and administrative tasks.
  • Valid driver's license.
