Senior Building Mechanics Engineer

Do you enjoy producing HVAC plans and systems for commercial, industrial and institutional buildings, as well as managing HVAC projects? If so, keep reading! My client is a multinational engineering company that has been around for over 40 years with offices in Montreal, the North Shore and the South Shore, is looking for a Building Mechanics Project Engineer to join their team. Projects up to $1 billion. Possibility of teleworking or working in the office. Choice of home office. Flexibility and respect.

Main functions:

  • Design HVAC systems (ventilation, air conditioning, heating, plumbing, etc.);
  • Perform design calculations to ensure project compliance;
  • Manage project deadlines and budgets while coordinating subcontractors.
  • Approve and sign plans;
  • Supervise surveys, estimates and preparation of plans and specifications;
  • Determine the equipment required to carry out the projects presented with technicians
  • Participate in the preparation of bids for service.

Ideal candidate

  • BAC in mechanical engineering
  • Be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
  • Have the General Health and Safety on Construction Sites (ASP) course
  • 10 years or more of experience in building mechanics
  • Proficiency in Revit software and the Office suite
  • Be able to approve plans
  • Be able to collaborate in a team
  • Have an excellent team spirit analysis
