Resident Senior Electrical Project Engineer

Do you enjoy designing electrical plans and systems for multiple hospital buildings, including Montreal's new billion-dollar super hospital, institutional, commercial, and condo projects? My client is a large multinational engineering firm that has been in business for over 40 years in Quebec and is looking for a Resident Building Electrical Engineer/Project Manager to join their dynamic team. Telework or hybrid work available. Choice of home office after the projects for Laval, South Shore or Montreal. 
 
Main functions: 

  • Fully manage major projects, including planning, organization, preparation of plans and specifications, and management of key clients; 
  • Provide technical expertise on major projects, direct designers and specialists to meet project requirements; 
  • Verify project compliance and alignment of deliverables with feasibility and consistency standards technical; 
  • Coach team members for professional growth; 
  • Create and monitor project timelines to ensure smooth execution; 
  • Apply project management standards to maintain quality and profitability; 
  • Contribute to the preparation of service offers; 
  • Contact with clients to exchange information techniques; 
  • Contribute to improving the tools and methods of the electricity department. 

 

Ideal candidate: 

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering; 
  • Member of the OIQ; 
  • ASP construction card; 
  • Possess at least 10 years of experience in building electricity; 
  • Mastery of the standards and codes governing building electricity; 
  • Ability to manage large projects that include several stakeholders; 
  • Mastery of the Office suite; 
  • Functional English required; 
  • Mastery of the general principles of the different stages of design and project management; 
  • Ability to manage time well and problem-solving skills; 
  • Good interpersonal skills, demonstrate leadership and excellent communication skills; 
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness, autonomy and initiative.
