Role
Reporting to the IT department, the IT technician will provide IT support to a client located in Valleyfield. The selected candidate will be based at our client's offices in Valleyfield and may occasionally be asked to travel to other offices of this or other clients. For this position and this client, remote work is not impossible, but the selected IT technician will be required to be present at the worksite.
On occasion, the selected candidate may be asked to work on challenging internal projects. They may also be asked to work (locally or remotely) for other clients of the company. In all cases, she can count on the support and mutual assistance of the team.
Responsibilities
- Provide Level 1 and 2 IT support.
- Proactively monitor issues detected in the management platform, environment security, and external backups with clients.
- Manage cloud and hybrid environments.
- Prepare, configure, repair, and deploy computers and network equipment.
- Participate in the deployment of new environments and migrations of existing environments at clients' sites.
- Participate in client/internal projects in collaboration with the IT management team.
- Write technical documentation and ensure its follow-up with the rest of the team. the team.
Qualifications
- Hold a DEC or AEC in computer science.
- Knowledge of Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft 365 platform (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Intune).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7 and 10 platforms.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010-2019.
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server (2003-2019).
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, RDS, etc.).
- Functional knowledge of networking (DHCP, DNS, VPN, etc.).
- Bilingualism (oral and written).
- Valid driver's license.
- 3 to 5 years of experience as a system administrator (Asset).
- Functional knowledge of Linux (Asset).
- Functional knowledge of Python, JavaScript, and MySQL (Asset).
- Holding an AWS or Microsoft certification (Asset).

Conditions
- Status: Full-time
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Availability: In very rare cases and only if needed, the selected candidate may be required to work outside of normal office hours.
