Role

Reporting to the IT department, the computer technician will be called upon to provide computer support to a client located in Valleyfield. The selected person will be installed in the premises of our client, located in Valleyfield and could occasionally be invited to travel to the other offices of this client or others. As part of this position, teleworking is not impossible, but the selected computer technician must be present at the workplace.

 

On occasion, the selected person could be called upon to work on stimulating internal projects. She could also be asked to work (locally or remotely) for other clients of the company. In any case, she can count on the support and mutual assistance of the team.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide level 1,2 and 3 IT support.
  • Proactively follow up on issues detected in the management platform, environment security and external backups with customers.
  • Manage cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Prepare, configure, repair and deploy computers and network equipment.
  • Participate in the deployment of new environments and migrations of existing environments at customers.
  • Participate in client/internal projects in collaboration with the IT management team.
  • Write technical documentation and follow up with the rest of the team.

 

Qualifications

  • Have a DEC or AEC in computer science.
  • Knowledge of Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft 365 platform (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Intune).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7, 10 platforms.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010-2019.
  • Possess functional knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server (2003-2019).
  • Possess functional knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, RDS, etc.).
  • Possess functional knowledge of networking (DHCP, DNS, VPN, etc.).
  • Bilingualism (oral and written).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Have between 3 to 5 years of experience as a systems administrator (Asset).
  • Possess functional knowledge with Linux (Asset).
  • Possess functional knowledge of Python, JavaScript and MySQL (Asset).
  • Have an AWS or Microsoft certification (Asset).

Terms

  • Status: full time
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Availability: In very rare cases and only when needed, the selected person may be required to work outside normal office hours.
  • Mobility: Required.
