Job Description

Internship for the Fall 2022 semester (September to December) - This position assists and supports projects in the technical service department.

Responsibilities:

Take inventory of rubber returns to be recovered from the various processes;
Maintain up-to-date graphs of the quantities of rubber to be recovered;
Analyze the data from the graphs to prioritize the rubber formulations to be used in production;
Take inventory of rubber scraps;
Participate in continuous improvement programs (Kaizen) to reduce scrap;
Designing studies on the behavior of natural rubber;
Participation in the development of production and technical standards (OTRS);
Carry out various tests;
Assist the technical service team in other work (daily review of production quality data, perform studies on different manufacturing processes at the mixers).

Skills profile

Engineering student (Bachelor's degree or DEC) in chemistry, mechanics or materials 
Experience in an industrial environment (asset);
Fluency in French and basic knowledge of English;
Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Working conditions

Your salary? 

1st year internship : 21$ / h
Internship 2nd year of BAC: $23 / hr
Internship 3rd year of BAC: 25$ / h
Internship 4th year of BAC and Master : 27$ / h
The hourly rate will be increased by $1.00/hr if you have already done an internship or a summer job at Bridgestone.
Internship location: Joliette;
Daytime schedule;
Work environment: plant 35% and office 65%;
Percentage of work time at the computer: 60%;
