Your Mandate:

Reporting to the Director of Parking Area Management, the Engineer is responsible for supporting the management in the design, implementation, and monitoring of asset maintenance and parking area redevelopment projects.

Your Challenges:

Act as a technical leader in municipal engineering. Conduct studies, reports, technical opinions, plans and specifications, and documents related to the design of projects of various sizes in the field of municipal engineering. Perform project design (geometry, road structure, drainage and retention basins, parking, etc.). Design surface parking traffic and signage plans and obtain approvals. Prepare specific technical studies, resonance studies, and preliminary pre-project studies. Solve complex technical issues requiring research, in-depth analysis, and interdisciplinary coordination. Provide solutions by initiating the experimentation of new approaches and innovative design criteria application. Supervise the work of less experienced engineers and technicians within projects. Participate in the design or review of feasibility studies, preliminary pre-projects, and project plans and specifications according to the City's requirements, boroughs, and applicable standards. Coordinate the design of road works with complementary disciplines involved in the project. Prepare quantity and cost estimates using established methods and perform budget tracking. Conduct site visits and field surveys and prepare associated corrective actions as required.

Your Profile:

Hold a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering and be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ). Have a minimum of three (3) years of experience as an Engineer, a member of OIQ. Possess experience in project management and the design of municipal and road infrastructures. Have site supervision experience (an asset). Familiarity with the standards and operating procedures of the City of Montreal and the MTMD. Knowledge of PCSWMM and CHAUSSEÉ. Hold a valid ASP construction card - General Health and Safety on Construction Sites. Proficiency in computer-aided design software, including AutoCAD and/or MicroStation. Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite, including MS Project. Demonstrate autonomy, rigor, and good organizational skills. Show excellent interpersonal skills, with good communication and the ability to listen and collaborate.
