Your mandate:
Relevant of the Director, Parking Lot Management, the engineer is responsible for supporting management in the design, implementation and monitoring of asset maintenance and parking lot redevelopment projects.
Your challenges:

  • Act as a technical leader in municipal engineering;
  • Carry out studies, reports, technical opinions, plans and specifications, and documents relating to the design of projects of different scales in the field of municipal engineering;
  • Carry out project design (geometry, profile, road structure, drainage and retention basins, parking, etc.);
  • Carry out the design of traffic plans and signage for surface parking lots as well as their approval;
  • Proceed with the preparation of specific technical studies, resonance and preliminary drafts prior to projects;
  • Solve complex technical problems requiring research, in-depth analysis and interdisciplinary coordination;
  • Provide solutions by initiating the experimentation of new approaches and the application of design criteria in an innovative way;
  • Supervise the work of less experienced engineers and technicians on projects;
  • Participate in the design or verification of the design of opportunity studies, preliminary projects, project plans and specifications according to the requirements of the city, the districts and the standards in force ;
  • Coordinate the design of road works with the complementary disciplines involved in the project;
  • Prepare quantity and cost estimates according to established methods and carry out budgetary follow-ups;
  • Carry out field visits and surveys and prepare associated corrective actions if necessary;

Your profile:

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and be a member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec (OIQ);
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of experience, as an Engineer, member of the OIQ;
  • Have experience in project management and design of municipal and road infrastructure;
  • Have experience in site supervision (an asset);
  • Know the standards and operating methods of the City of Montreal and the MTMD;
  • Know PCSWMM and PAVEMENT;
  • Hold a valid ASP construction card - General health and safety on construction sites;
  • Proficiency in computer-aided drawing software, including AutoCAD and/or microstation;
  • Know the Microsoft Office 365 Suite, including MS Project;
  • Demonstrate autonomy, rigor and good organizational skills;
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, by having good communication, as well as the ability to listen and collaborate;
