Accounting Clerk (Student Employment)

The Sustainable Mobility Agency is a para-municipal organization dedicated to innovation for more sustainable mobility. It manages spaces in the city's borders and off-street parking areas, engages in public space monitoring activities in the Montreal area, and provides enhanced information to the community. The agency leverages its expertise in sustainable mobility to serve the City of Montreal, aiming to improve the quality of life and support economic vitality by facilitating the fair sharing of space and city accessibility for all.

Working Conditions:

  • Duration: Contract until December 31, 2024
  • Schedule: Two (2) to three (3) days per week, Monday to Friday.
  • The schedule is from 9 am to 5 pm. Location: Hybrid model.
  • The workplace is at 2100 Drummond Street, 5th floor, Montreal (Quebec), H3G 1X1 Hourly Rate: $17.68 to $25

Your Mandate: Reporting to the Chief of Accounting and Financial Information Services, you will be responsible for supporting the activities of the accounting department. You may also be required to perform tasks related to the complete accounts payable cycle or any other related tasks.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Conduct various account reconciliations;
  • Process accounting entries associated with month-end closure;
  • Participate in all other month-end closing activities;
  • Assist the accounting analyst in researching and investigating outstanding transactions;
  • May be required, as needed, to provide support in accounts payable.

Your Profile:

  • Have completed two years of college (DEC) or a bachelor's degree in accounting;
  • Master the Microsoft Office suite;
  • Possess an intermediate level of knowledge of Excel software;
  • Be able to use Sage accounting software (an asset).
