Environmental Project Manager – Ecology and Biodiversity

UDA Consulting Group is looking for an  Environmental Project Manager  to complete its multidisciplinary team composed of agricultural and forestry engineers, agronomists, biologists, geographers, geomatics specialists and specialized technicians. The project manager will have to actively collaborate in the planning, coordination and management of various projects in the environmental field (environmental inventories, environmental studies, sectoral studies, permit and authorization applications, environmental monitoring and follow-ups, etc.).

The position can be attached to one of our offices (Quebec or Saint-Charles-sur-Richelieu) or telework up to 100% of the time depending on the candidate's autonomy.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of environmental impact studies and other related studies within a multidisciplinary team;
  • Coordinate and/or participate in land inventories;
  • Lead and/or participate in applications for environmental permits and certificates of authorization;
  • Draft service offers;
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, approval authorities, stakeholders of the projects;
  • Lead the drafting of inventory reports, diagnostics and reference statements and authorization certificates as part of the implementation of development projects;
  • Ensure compliance with project budgets and deadlines and ensure their administrative management;
  • Participate in the development of new tools and services offered by the company;
  • Provide technical and regulatory expertise on various projects;
  • Work in collaboration with all departments of the company to carry out projects;
  • Promote and implement the occupational health and safety prevention program.

Requirements and training

  • Hold a university degree in biology or any other field relevant to environmental management;
  • More than 4 years of relevant experience;
  • Have a very good knowledge of provincial and federal environmental regulations;
  • Be able to travel to different sites on occasion;
  • A well-developed analytical and synthesis mind;
  • A sense of organization, planning and project coordination;
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing;
  • Aptitude for teamwork;
  • Initiative and autonomy.
