Responsibilities:
The job entails performing chrome, cadmium, and nickel plating operations through electro-deposition using shaped anodes, anode cages, chemical solution tanks, and other techniques.
The tasks include:
- Installing and adjusting the anode cage or anodes on the workpiece.
- Performing electroplating operations using plating or rinsing chemical solution tanks, following procedures.
- Monitoring parameters such as amperage and duration.
- Placing the workpiece in the annealing oven and programming the heating cycle.
- Troubleshooting technical issues when necessary.
- Inspecting the workpiece to ensure compliance with specifications and taking necessary actions if any abnormalities are detected.
- Organizing work and prioritizing tasks based on instructions received regarding the pieces to be processed first.
- Consulting technical documents such as work drawings, operation sheets, procedures on the computer, and appropriately filling out Quality Assurance documentation when needed.
- Contributing to continuous improvement of operations and achieving goals in terms of safety, quality, cost, and on-time delivery.
Requirements:
- Diploma of Vocational Studies (D.E.P) in surface treatment, aeronautical mechanical assembly, aeronautical structure assembly, aeronautical circuit assembly-wiring, welding-assembly, or composite materials.
- Minimum of two years of experience in the aerospace industry.
