Directeur des Opérations Régionales - Province de Québec

As the Regional Director you will be responsible for leading all regional operations in achieving the regional objectives of operational service delivery, growth and profitability. Additional expectations of this role include: 

  • Championing safety leadership in all aspects of the operation through regular communication of safety objectives; review of safety performance; and adherence to safety standards, policies and procedures established in the HSE system;
  • Developing and executing the regional business plan and budget, in consultation with the corporate leadership team;
  • Facilitating collaborative efforts across the region to support execution of large-scale projects/contracts;
  • Monitoring individual branch operations and financial performance within the region ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of services and solutions and where needed, develop branch specific improvement programs to address identified issues;
  • Growing business opportunities in the region in collaboration with the business development, sales, and branch leadership teams;
  • Working with Supply Chain to develop inventory management and distribution strategies to support regional operations;
  • Preparing reports, presentations, and other related documents to inform regional progress against the business plan and budget;
  • Maintaining market knowledge/data to identify trends, issues and opportunities in the region and help inform decision making;
  • Building meaningful customer relationships across the region through regular interaction;
  • Building, managing, and developing a high performing, cohesive regional team to support operations;
  • Fostering a work environment conducive to open communication, initiative, and team work; and
  • Driving a continuous improvement mindset focused on operational excellence.

 As the successful candidate you would bring the following knowledge, skills and abilities to the role:

  • Field or operations management experience in fire protection, industrial field services or related areas;
  • Supervisory, management, leadership or other related training;
  • Multi-operation/territory management experience;
  • Knowledge or prior accountability for operational business planning and financial stewardship;
  • Experience applying codes, laws, and other regulatory guidelines in the execution of technicial or industrial work;
  • Stewardship of operations through accountability, execution, and continuous improvement;
  • Leadership of a diverse team ensuring maintenance of high levels of safety focus and quality service delivery;
  • Develop and deliver on business plans, performance targets and other deliverables;
  • Resolution of disagreements quickly and effectively;
  • Delivery top-tier customer service and solutions;
  • Adaptability to changing situations and priorities;
  • Analysis of information and situations to make timely decisions; and
  • Collaboration and management relationships across a diverse group of stakeholders.

 You must also possess a valid driver’s license and be able to travel to remote client sites and other operating locations.  Overtime may be necessary; therefore, flexibility in hours of work will be required as well as an ability to accommodate overnight travel as needed.
