COMMERCIAL ROOF SNOW REMOVAL SHOVEL POSITION
TASKS
Snow Removal: Remove accumulated snow from commercial roofs using snow shovels, snow blowers or other specialized
equipment.
Preliminary inspection: Assess roof conditions prior to snow removal
to identify critical areas and hazards.
Preparation: Make sure you have the necessary equipment, including
safety tools such as harnesses and non-slip devices.
Coordination: Work in collaboration with other members of the
team to ensure efficient and safe snow removal.
Compliance with safety standards: Follow strictly follow
safety procedures to avoid accidents, such as wearing personal
protective equipment (PPE) and putting in place safety devices.
Use of specialized equipment : Master the use of various
snow removal equipment, such as special shovels,
snow blowers, scrapers, etc.
Tool maintenance: Ensure that tools and equipment are in
good working order and make necessary repairs if
necessary.
Communication: Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors and other parties involved to ensure optimal
coordination.
Time management: Plan and organize work to meet
deadlines and minimize interruptions.
SKILLS
Physical Strength: Ability to perform demanding physical work,
including lifting and moving snow.
Tool Proficiency: Skill in using various tools
snow removal, including motorized equipment.
Knowledge of safety standards: Thorough understanding of
safety protocols for working at height and in harsh weather conditions.
Responsiveness: Ability to respond quickly to changing weather conditions and potential emergencies.
