Your main responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating room and the necessary equipment for each surgical procedure.
- Assist the surgeon and the team during procedures, ensuring the safety and comfort of the patient.
- Maintain a sterile environment and strictly adhere to aseptic protocols.
- Ensure immediate post-operative follow-up of patients and communicate relevant observations.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimize care and procedure planning.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of practices and the management of equipment and Stocks.
Desired Profile:
- Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in Nursing
- Completed training and experience in the operating room and performing the duties of an intern or extern in the operating room (minimum 2 years preferred)
- Experience in orthopedics (a major asset)
- CPR and ACLS certification
- Knowledge and application of AIISOC and AORN standards
- Experience with OPERA software (an asset)
