Child Health Nurse

Your main responsibilities:
- Welcome clinic clients referred by a healthcare professional, and/or others, for a consultation and conduct assessments to provide the necessary patient care
- Ensure the appropriate treatment of notifiable diseases, obtain the required consent, and complete patient files
- Conduct required follow-ups with patients and refer them to appropriate professionals if their condition requires it
- Keep patients informed about child health and available community prevention methods
- Promote child health prevention and public policies within communities by disseminating information through: video clips, radio, schools, or other activities
- Pediatric vaccination: 0-5 years
Profile Required:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Member of the OIIQ – Current membership
- PIQ training
- ABCD training (either the Sainte-Justine training or the one included in the expanded role training).
- Experience in a remote region
- Bilingualism – An asset
