Carpenter-joiner (Journeyman)

We are looking for a qualified carpenter-joiner (Journeyman) to join our production team. The incumbent's mission will be to manufacture, assemble and repair structures, in accordance with the plans and specifications provided. His technical expertise and ability to read and interpret construction plans will be essential assets to ensure the quality and accuracy of the work.

Main responsibilities:

• Read and interpret plans, sketches and specifications to determine the necessary materials and the construction process.
• Measure, cut and shape wood, plywood and other materials to assemble and install structures and carpentry elements.
• Use hand and power tools accurately and safely to perform carpentry tasks.
• Check the alignment, plumb, level and solidity of assembled structures.
• Perform repairs, adjustments and finishing to ensure the quality of the final product.
• Ensure compliance with current safety standards in all operations.
• Collaborate with other team members to complete projects within the allotted timeframe.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in carpentry-joinery or (Journeyman).
• Training: DEP in carpentry-joinery or equivalent (desired).
• Technical skills: In-depth knowledge of construction materials, their properties and assembly methods.
• Physical skills: Ability to lift and handle heavy materials, work in a standing position for prolonged periods, and perform repetitive movements.
• Plan reading skills: Proven experience in reading and interpreting plans and specifications techniques.
• Workplace Safety: Knowledge of construction safety standards and ability to apply them rigorously.
