The City of Quebec is looking for a Assistant Controller with solid expertise in financial control. If you are rigorous, analytical and want to evolve in a stimulating environment, this opportunity is for you!

Your Responsibilities:

  • Assist the controller in the management and analysis of financial statements.
  • Perform internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting processes.
  • Supervise the production of financial and budgetary reports.
  • Participate in the preparation of internal and external audits.
  • Analyze budgetary variances and recommend adjustments.
  • Collaborate with the various departments to optimize financial management.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations in force.

Job Requirements:

  • Training: DEC in accounting with extensive experience or a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business administration.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in financial control, accounting or auditing.
  • Technical skills:
    • Excellent command of Excel and financial management tools.
    • Experience with accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or other).
    • Good knowledge of accounting standards and internal control principles.
  • Qualities sought: Rigor, analytical mind, autonomy, sense of responsibility and excellent teamwork.
  • Asset: The CPA designation (completed or in progress) is a plus.
