Reporting to the Production and Mechanical Manager, you analyze technical documentation to establish the sequence of operations for mechanical assembly processes.
You determine work procedures and required equipment based on the specific characteristics of each part, customer requirements, and applicable standards. In addition, you work on various projects aimed at developing, implementing, or optimizing internal processes.
As a mechanical engineer, you may, among other things, be called upon to:
- Analyze each project (bids, drawings, and documents provided by the client);
- Analyze the time taken for the various assembly stages;
- Determine the procedures to follow and the methods to use;
- Produce work instruction documents used by production personnel in accordance with the established schedule;
- Prepare and lead meetings to present work instructions and explain the specific characteristics of each project: tasks, priorities, requirements and potential technical difficulties, assembly sequences, materials, etc.;
- Create part disassembly and inspection procedures for a contract. repair;
- Assess the condition of the part to be repaired and its components;
- Write the inspection report provided to the client;
- Propose various technical repair options;
- Design specific jigs and fixtures, taking into account the specific characteristics of each part;
- Provide technical support to production staff.

It takes What?
