We are looking for a Conventional Machinist with experience in diesel engines to join our team in Edmonton. The ideal candidate will operate manual machine tools (such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders) to perform precision work on engine components. You will play a key role in maintaining and rebuilding diesel engine parts to high-quality standards.
Operate manual/conventional machining equipment to repair or manufacture diesel engine parts
Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
Measure, mark, and inspect materials for accuracy
Perform precision machining on engine blocks, crankshafts, cylinder heads, and other components
Collaborate with mechanics and technicians during engine rebuilds
Ensure safety and quality procedures are followed at all times
Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience as a conventional machinist (experience with diesel engines is an asset)
Skills:
Proficient with manual lathes, mills, and grinders
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Knowledge of diesel engine components is preferred
