Mechanical Fabrication and Welding Foreman
Main Job Role
- Assemble projects of all categories and manage assigned personnel, space, and materials within scheduled deadlines.
Education / Special Knowledge / Experience Required
- Recognized training in welding assembly.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical assembly, sheet metal work, plumbing, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, industrial gases, and industrial knowledge.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
- A high degree of autonomy.
- Read and interpret welding plans or instructions, including symbols.
- Use manual or semi-automatic equipment to weld metal parts such as appliances. tungsten electrode (GTAW/TIG) and solid wire (GMAW) welding.
- Holding overhead crane and WHMIS cards is an asset.

- Manages the people assigned to a project.
Responsibilities
Assembly and Personnel
- Ensures the mechanical fabrication of projects under the management of the engineering team.
- Ensures and maintains safety standards within their group and in their workspace.
- Maintains high compliance and quality requirements for their group and themselves.
- Meets established dates and deadlines.
- Effectively manages the personnel assigned to them. assigned.
- Keeps the assigned space clean, tidy, and safe at all times.
- Provides assistance to other project teams.
- Is available outside of regular hours when circumstances require it.
Documents
- Completes and signs inspection forms.
- Identifies and notes issues on various documents.
- Estimates remaining time on ongoing projects when requested.
- Actively participates in various project production meetings.
Service
- May be called upon to provide customer service.
