The Welder-Assembler, under the supervision of their team leader, performs fusion welding of parts, assembly/welding, or welding of containers using the semi-automatic (MIG) and TIG welding processes.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Weld using the semi-automatic (MIG/MIG) process using operational procedures while maintaining the required quality standards;
- Perform uniform welds of varying lengths;
- Perform welds in three different positions (flat, horizontal, and downward);
- Check the appearance of the weld bead and the absence of porosity;
- Organize the time allocated to welding to optimize productivity;
- Handle filler materials, containers, tools, and equipment with meticulously and safely with the assistance of the overhead crane;
- Maintain the work area safe and clean;
- Perform any other tasks inherent to the position.
