Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, accessories, and equipment (in compliance with local electrical codes and standards)
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout and configuration of electrical systems
- Install and maintain electrical distribution systems, including transformers, distribution boards, circuit breakers, and control panels
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair lighting systems (indoor and outdoor)
- Wire and connect various electrical equipment (generators, motors, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, fire alarms, and security systems)
- Identify faults and malfunctions or potential hazards, and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Routine maintenance (cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting electrical equipment) to ensure optimal performance and extend its lifespan.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and electrical hazards, in order to maintain a safe work environment.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with other trades, contractors, and team members involved in the construction and maintenance of the resort.
Qualifications:
- Valid Electrician (Journeyman) (CCQ) with at least 2 years of experience in construction or a related field.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, electrical codes, and safety regulations.
- Reading and interpreting electrical plans, schematics, and technical drawings.

- Physical ability to work at heights, confined spaces, and outdoors
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Manage tasks to meet deadlines
- High level of commitment to safety protocols and ability to follow safety guidelines
- Ability to work as part of a team, including weekends and holidays, if necessary
