Refrigeration engineer

We are recruiting residential and commercial air conditioning, heating, and ventilation (HVAC) specialists in the Montreal area.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, or other specifications;
  • Clean and maintain air conditioners, fans, and heaters;
  • Measure and determine reference points for installation;
  • Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components, such as motors, controls, valves, circulating pumps, condensers, humidifiers, evaporators, and compressors, using hand or power tools;
  • Measure, cut, and connect pipes using welding and brazing equipment;
  • Install, modify, and recondition complete heating and ventilation systems and air conditioning. Air handling, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems for buildings, and troubleshooting;
  • Start systems and perform leak tests using test equipment;
  • Recharge systems with refrigerant, check and test controllers, calibrate systems, and perform routine maintenance;
  • Repair and replace parts and components of complete refrigeration, air conditioning, and ventilation systems.

Required Experience/Knowledge

  • 5 years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining residential wall-mounted and central heat pumps.
  • 2 years of experience installing residential heat pumps (an asset).
  • Hold a vocational studies diploma (DEP) or a certificate of professional studies (AEP) in refrigeration (an asset). (asset)

  • Compensation ranging from $30/h to $40/h + bonus

Education:
