Reporting to the Fabrication Shop Team Leader, the Welder-Assembler's main responsibilities will be to perform various assembly and welding tasks to support our various projects:
- Prepare parts to be welded
- Clean, cut, grind, assemble, weld, braze, or adjust metal parts as needed.
- Work with mild steel and/or stainless steel parts
- Assemble metal parts
- Position and hold the elements to be welded using jigs or clamping devices.
- Assemble aluminum parts, steel parts, etc.
- Weld the elements
- Weld using the appropriate process (MIG, TIG, etc.).
- Adjust the welding machine parameters. Weld.
- Control the quality of welds
- Visually or using tools to inspect completed welds.
- Correct defects or rework if necessary.
- Comply with standards and instructions
- Work in accordance with safety and quality standards.
- Maintain the order and cleanliness of the workstation.
- Collaborate with the production team
- Communicate with the team leader in the event of problems or adjustments.
- Participate in basic equipment maintenance.
- All other related tasks.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
Scheduled hours: 40 per week
