We are seeking a creative and skilled welder to assist in the fabrication and assembly of various sign structures. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in welding and metalworking, demonstrating expertise in MIG welding techniques. In addition to technical proficiency, the sign fabrication welder should possess problem-solving skills and a creative mindset. This role is essential to the production process, ensuring that our signs not only meet the highest standards of quality and durability, but also reflect innovative solutions to unique challenges.

Responsibilities:

  1. Welding and Fabrication: Perform MIG welding on a variety of materials, including steel and aluminum, to fabricate sign structures according to specifications.
  2. Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to understand project requirements and ensure accurate assembly.
  3. Accuracy and Quality: Maintain a high level of accuracy and quality in welding to produce durable and aesthetically pleasing sign structures.
  4. Material Preparation: Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, cutting, and shaping as needed, ensuring proper fit and alignment.
  5. Problem Solving: Apply creative problem-solving skills to address challenges that may arise during the manufacturing and assembly process.
  6. Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including designers and fabricators, to ensure smooth collaboration in the sign manufacturing process.
  7. Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and other team members.
  8. Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and report any anomalies promptly.
  9. Quality Control: Perform inspections and quality checks on completed welds to verify compliance. to company specifications and standards.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the sign industry.
2. Proficiency in MIG welding techniques.
3. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
4. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
5. Creative mindset and problem-solving abilities.
6. Knowledge of welding safety procedures and guidelines.
7. Physical fitness and stamina to meet the demands of the position.
8. Welding certification is an asset.
