Automation Engineer / Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION:
As part of a team and under the supervision of our automation engineer, you will be working on all electrical, automation, and industrial control aspects of machines designed by Nippon Rika Bartech Machinery. From design to installation at our customers' premises, including wiring, assembly, and fine-tuning, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks. As our clientele is international, you may be required to travel abroad to install new equipment and provide customer support.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participation in the design and production of new machines according to technical and budgetary constraints, as well as the continuous improvement of existing designs,
  • Participation in the development of software applications (C#), robotics (Fanuc), and PLCs,
  • Analysis and resolution of problems from design to commissioning at customer sites abroad.

RELATED TASKS:

  • Participation in the drawing up of electrical circuits,
  • Participation in commissioning tasks for machines and subassemblies,
  • Any other tasks related.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering / Automated Production or a DEC in Electrical Engineering with relevant experience,
  • Knowledge of automated and robotic electromechanical systems,
  • Knowledge of software programming (e.g., C++, C#, etc.),
  • Availability to work on multiple and varied tasks,
  • Autonomy, professionalism, analytical thinking, and good teamwork skills,
  • Availability to travel abroad,
  • Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written.

ASSETS:

  • Experience with FANUC robots, in industrial programming (signals, communications) or any other related profession,
  • Mastery of the fundamental principles of industrial electrical and electronic circuits (control panels, printed circuit boards, etc.),
  • Experience in electrical design,
  • Knowledge of current electrical standards,
  • Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec.
