As part of the toolmaker/machinist team, the machinist is responsible for the machining of machine parts and mold parts, as well as the maintenance of production molds.
Responsibilities
- Manufacture, repair, or modify various types of parts in various materials with tight machining tolerances;
- Conventional and programmable machining on lathes, milling machines, radial drills, and grinders;
- Dimensional inspection using precision instruments such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and others;
- Operate various manual equipment (angle grinders and drills);
- Perform preventive maintenance on machine tools;
- Maintain production molds (disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and assembly);
- Part handling using a hoist or manual lift.
- Adapt to various troubleshooting situations and find solutions within short timeframes;
- Keep the work environment clean and safe;
Work schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday to Friday;
Salary subject to collective agreement.
Required Profile
- 3-5 years of experience in conventional machining or a similar position;
- Ability to read industrial drawings;
- Ability to perform calculations;
- Good manual dexterity;
- Be resourceful, methodical, and have an analytical mind;
- Demonstrate rigor and attention to detail ;
- Proficiency with hand tools.

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Compensation: $30.61 to $33.86 per hour
Expected Hours: 40 per week,
