Job Description

We are looking for a practical, “hands-on” Electronics Specialist to join our multidisciplinary R&D team!

We are working on a highly stimulating and exciting project that will allow the electronics specialist to be directly involved in all phases of product design. Reporting to the Senior Hardware Design Engineer, we expect him/her to carry out various tasks related to the development, validation, debugging, and technical support of electronic products. We are seeking a versatile and passionate individual capable of taking charge of multiple tasks in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

Testing and Validation

· Writing test procedures

· Performing functional and validation tests

· Analyzing results and producing technical documentation

Debugging and Instrumentation

· Diagnosing and resolving electronic issues

· Using laboratory tools: oscilloscope, multimeter, programmable power supply, etc.

· Analyzing analog and digital signals

Rework and Hardware Support

· Performing light rework (component replacement, minor modifications)

· Supporting prototypes and early production runs

Electronic Design

· Analyzing circuits and understanding electronic architectures

· Contributing to schematic design and PCB layout

· Supporting design optimization for production

Test Bench (JIG) Development

· Schematic design and layout of test JIGs

· Interdisciplinary collaboration (Mechanical, Firmware, Production)

R&D Support

· Research and select electronic components

· Providing general technical support for ongoing projects

· Participating in design reviews

Desired Profile

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering or a technical diploma in electronics

· 5+ years of experience in an R&D environment

· Significant experience debugging hardware issues using lab equipment (e.g., oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.)

· Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills

· Experience working with complex, high density multilayer PCBs

· Experience working closely with a product development team

Nice to Have

· Design and troubleshooting of analog and/or audio circuits

· Involvement in the design of a complex product that reached commercialization

· Experience with medical devices

Soft Skills

· Excellent communication skills in English and French

· Proactive and autonomous approach

· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

· Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously
