Expozone is looking for an experienced spray booth painter that would like to work in the specialized field of museum exhibitions, cultural centres and commercial spaces.

 

Expozone is a full-service custom fabricator specializing in high quality museum exhibits, cultural centres, and branded interiors. The company currently employs over 36 full-time employees and more than 46,000 square feet of management, design, and fabrication space in Gatineau, Québec.

 

As a spray booth painter at Expozone you will be expected to take direction, be proficient working with hand tools and be knowledgeable in the different paints and their finishes.

 

Duties include:

  1. Organizing workflow,
  2. Preparing surfaces for paint such as cleaning, stripping, sanding and/or filling imperfections,
  3. Operating the spray gun, and other necessary tools to achieve the intended finishes,
  4. Inspecting and identifying imperfections requiring corrections,
  5. Touching up completed work to remove drips, chips or poorly covered areas as needed,
  6. Cleaning tools after use and maintaining them in good operating condition,
  7. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and
  8. Maintaining safety standards as instructed, making proper use of personal protective equipment, and maintaining an inventory of protective items such as masks, gloves and goggles.

 

Important attributes:

  1. Knowledge of different painting techniques and how to achieve them.
  2. Attention to detail and precision.
  3. Focused, and deadline driven.
  4. Good communications and listening skills.
  5. Physical ability to stand, squat, and bend for long periods of time.
  6. Calm in fast paced environment.
