VOTRE RÔLE

Quel sera votre impact en tant que spécialiste en infrastructure TI au Département génie logiciel et TI?

Vous agirez en tant qu'expert dans votre domaine en matière d'implantation, d'utilisation, de maintenance, et d'application de systèmes technologiques. Votre projet principal sera la conception et la mise en place d'une grappe de calcul pour le programme d'informatique distribuée pour répondre aux besoins départementaux. Vous serez possiblement impliqué dans divers projets parallèles en collaboration avec vos collègues de l'équipe technique et les membres du corps professoral du département pour mettre à profit vos expertises.

Au quotidien, vous :

Implantez et gérez un projet d'infrastructure logicielle et computationnelle en informatique distribuée. Vous mettrez en place une grappe de calcul départementale répondant aux divers besoins en enseignement et en recherche.
Répondez aux besoins des chercheurs de l'ÉTS et des clients industriels ou académiques externes. Vous travaillerez sur des sujets en matière de développement des techniques, méthodes et pratiques du laboratoire institutionnel pour les équipements concernés.
Analysez, conseillez et concevez des approches, procédés et méthodes en lien avec les projets de développement technologiques. Vous travaillerez en étroite collaboration avec le personnel enseignant du département.
Concevez et développez des programmes de vérification, d'entretien, de calibration et d'application des systèmes. Vous veillerez à leur exécution, à leur allocation et au balancement des composantes en place.
Collaborez aux différents projets du département. Vous participerez aux projets d'acquisition et d'intégration d'applications tierces ou encore réaliserez des travaux d'architecture technique.
Planifiez les étapes de réalisation des projets et déterminez les besoins en ressources techniques et matérielles.

What will your impact be as an IT Infrastructure Specialist in the Software Engineering and IT Department?

You will act as an expert in your field regarding the implementation, use, maintenance, and application of technological systems. Your main project will be the design and implementation of a computing cluster for the distributed computing program to meet departmental needs. Implement and manage a distributed computing software and computing infrastructure project.Set up a departmental computing cluster to meet diverse teaching and research needs.
Meet the needs of ÉTS researchers and external industrial or academic clients.Work on topics related to the development of techniques, methods, and practices for the institutional laboratory and the equipment involved.
Analyze, advise on, and design approaches, processes, and methods related to technological development projects.Work closely with the department's teaching staff.
Design and develop verification, maintenance, calibration, and application programs for systems. You will ensure their execution, allocation, and balancing of existing components.
Collaborate on the department's various projects. You will participate in projects for the acquisition and integration of third-party applications or carry out technical architecture work.
Plan the project implementation phases and determine the technical and material resource requirements.
