Our project management department is made up of more than 20 professionals who combine their expertise and ingenuity to meet the challenges presented by construction in the Arctic.

Main responsibilities

• Analyze plans, specifications and tender documents;

• Determine the requirements, define the needs of the project and propose various applicable solutions;

• Negotiate, award and prepare contracts for subcontracting and purchase orders;

• Calculate and coordinate the required staff;

• Establish optimal work methods in collaboration with the superintendent;

• Establish and coordinate budgets, codify costs and monitor invoicing and payments;

• Ensure the administrative aspect of projects: reports, notice of changes and / or extras or any other amendment to the project;

• Participate in the development of the prevention program and then ensure its application;

• Participate in site meetings with the client and professionals;

• Ensure the progress of the work in accordance with quality standards, deadlines and budgets;

• Supervise and support the site superintendent;

• Establish and maintain a professional and trusting relationship with its customers, internal and external collaborators and act as an intermediary between the various stakeholders.

• Deliver the project in collaboration with the superintendent and obtain the final acceptance of the client;

• Collaborate in the bidding process and analyze the calls for tenders;

• Carry out post mortems of projects and make constructive suggestions to optimize the competitiveness of the company;

• Participate in coordination meetings and discuss with peers on current and future projects (good moves, problems, workforce planning, etc.);

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction engineering, architecture or any other relevant field or any other combination of training and experience related to the position;

• Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in large-scale project management;

• Experience with "design built" project management an asset;

• Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project software.

• Bilingual or advanced English both orally and writing;

• Proficiency in reading and analyzing plans and specifications;

• Be available for occasional trips to sites located in remote regions; and planning;

• Positive leadership;

• Resourcefulness.
