Description
Reporting directly to the President and CEO, the Director of Systems and Technology Information is responsible for the vision, governance, and overall performance of IT across the organization, with a focus on cybersecurity. As a strategic partner to the executive team, he positions IT as a driver of growth, operational excellence, risk management, and value creation. He ensures alignment between business strategy and technology investments, while guaranteeing the resilience, security, and performance of digital assets.
Main Responsibilities
- Define and implement the IT strategy in alignment with the organization’s strategic plan
- Lead, engage, and develop the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence
- Implement an IS/IT development plan in line with internal strategies and oversee the management of IT projects
- Define and lead the overall cybersecurity strategy, including incident detection and response
- Identify opportunities for optimization (automation, systems integration, data integrity, AI)
- Evaluate and prioritize IT investments based on ROI, risks, and impacts
- Establish an IT governance structure to support the organization’s needs and ensure user satisfaction
- Define IT service performance metrics and regularly measure and communicate KPIs
- Ensure the documentation of the technology infrastructure and ensure its consistent evolution
- Apply and comply with security rules at all times, as well as with regulations, applicable requirements (NIST, CMMC, CGP, etc.), policies, and the organization’s quality system
- Review and approve IT department purchases
- Ensure the availability, performance, and continuity of systems
- Oversee business continuity and disaster recovery plans
- Perform duties in accordance with the company’s vision and core values
- Any other related tasks
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
Professional Experience
- 15 years of experience in IT, including 5 years as an IT manager in a similar role
- Experience in IT infrastructure management
- Experience in multi-site and international management
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
Skills
- In-depth knowledge of enterprise systems in a manufacturing environment (Kinetic preferred)
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent understanding of IT security
- Good understanding of data analysis (BI) and IT governance best practices
- IT budget and operations management
- Bilingualism in both spoken and written French and English
