Description
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Logistics Manager oversees and coordinates the work of staff involved in planning, inventory management, procurement, and managing the delivery of goods to customers, thereby ensuring the optimization of workflow, costs, and delivery times.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and develop the teams under his or her supervision (customer service, procurement, planning, and follow-up)
- Assess the company’s ability to meet customer requirements in the medium and long term
- Plan, organize, and oversee logistics operations
- Ensure the optimization of short-term pull-based planning processes
- Monitor, adjust, and modify planning based on customer needs
- Ensure rigorous inventory tracking and stock management while maintaining optimal inventory levels
- Evaluate and select high-performing suppliers, taking into account sustainability and risk management criteria
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure delivery deadlines are met
- Develop monitoring and reporting tools to analyze supplier performance, costs, and efficiency
- Propose and contribute to projects for the implementation or improvement of technological tools
- Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the company’s vision and core values
- Apply and comply with safety rules at all times, as well as regulations, applicable requirements (Code of Ethics, CGP, etc.), policies, and the quality system in place.
- Perform any other related tasks that may be assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in operations management, business administration, or equivalent
Professional Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience, including 5 to 8 years in a similar position
- Experience in logistics management in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Skills
- Proficiency in computer tools (MS Office) and an ERP system
- Strong understanding of logistics data analysis and KPIs
- Budget management and cost optimization
- Bilingualism in both spoken and written French and English

- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with a focus on fostering a culture of innovation for continuous improvement
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret operational data
- Ability to build constructive and effective relationships through diplomacy and tact, as well as by treating employees fairly.
