Description
As part of the team at Alimentation Couche-Tard’s head office in Laval, the Director, Financial Information and Controls will report directly to the Vice President Controller and will play a key role within the company.
Main Responsibilities
- Preparation and presentation of internal financial information for the company’s management team, including analysis of business unit performance to support strategic decision-making and corporate growth.
- Preparation and presentation of quarterly and annual financial information required for a public company (financial statements, management’s discussion and analysis, press release, etc.)
- Compliance with and updating of the company’s accounting rules and policies
- Supervision of the financial information team comprising 10 professionals by encouraging the development of their skills and through collaboration.
- Participation in the integration of corporate acquisitions and other special projects according to the company’s activities
- Ensures continuous improvement of internal processes while providing recommendations and proactively identifying potential issues.
- Support and close collaboration with business units and other global groups
Required Qualifications
Education
- Hold a recognized accounting title (CPA)
Professional Experience
- 15 years of relevant experience in financial reporting and external auditing including at least five (5) years in a public company
- Good knowledge of IFRS
- Experience with team management and ability to handle several projects simultaneously
Skills
- Excellent command of office automation tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Mastery of Longview and Workiva (an asset)
- Bilingualism spoken and written
