Responsibilities:

Monitor and analyze regulatory developments in relevant areas, advising the Company on necessary actions.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all relevant jurisdictions, including with respect to the Company’s foreign subsidiaries.
Ensure the Company complies with applicable data privacy legislation, including updating website terms and privacy policies.

Requirements

BCL, LLB or JD degree.
Member of the Quebec Bar in good standing.
Common Law degree and/or qualification in a U.S. state considered an asset.
Minimum of 5 years of legal experience at a reputable law firm and/or in an in-house legal department; experience at both will be considered an asset.
Experience in compliance and regulatory matters, data privacy and/or risk management required.
Experience managing litigation strongly preferred.
Experience in intellectual property, commercial contracts and/or digital media will be considered an asset.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
